The old box traps personal artifacts that belong to a dark evil demon spirit. Once Em opens the box, the demon takes possession of her soul. The Possession movie title shows us the progression of a possessed girl from sweet child to a dangerous soul.

The last exorcist movie to reach movie theaters created major buzz on the first weekend in January 2012. We witnessed a low-budget movie filmed with documentary execution. The Devil Inside disappointed many exorcism fans, leaving them a twist with no real answers but a web link to visit The Rossi Files. The real story and true facts plot confused many moviegoers. Lastly, The Devil Inside ending completed the movie disaster.

The Possession is structured like The Exorcist. We watch a young Em bond with her family. In The Exorcist, the Linda Blaire character becomes possessed under an ancient demon spirit. Her mother, who is an inspiring actress and a single mother, must fight to save her daughter's possessed soul. The challenge is to discover the identity of the demon, which requires the exorcist to coerce the demon to reveal their name.

The exorcist calls out the demon name with an exorcism prayer. They must believe in the evil to confront to confront the demon spirit. The Devil Inside does a poor job ignoring the demon name. Most of the best exorcism movies name the demon. Hopefully, The Possession will feature a scary movie ending that involves an exorcist confronting the demon spirit.

Exorcism movie fans are excited about The Possession. Social media is giving the exorcist movie a nice boost. The Possession trailer is probably one of the best horror movie trailers ever. We first watched The Possession trailer during the movie previews preceding Chernobyl Diaries.

The Possession is leading another exorcism charge in 2012. Exorcism fans are treated to another exorcist movie. In The Possession, a father purchases his daughter a small antique box at a garage sale. The box contains an evil spirits who possesses the young girl, turning him into a dangerous host.

The Possession is the exorcist movie we thought The Devil Inside movie promised to give us back in January 2012. August 2012 is the beginning of the horror movie season. The Apparition is also debuting on August 24, 2012, a mere week prior to The Possession.

The Possession is based on a true story. In a skeptical world, the true story and real facts are loosely based on a box and an evil spirit. We plan to conduct research on the movie's marketing campaign to introduce The Possession as real. Our last exorcism research project involved investigating The Devil Inside, Anneliese Michel, Exorcism School at the Vatican, and multiple demonic possession.

We can promise you The Possession is the real deal. Exorcism fans better get ready to see the new exorcist movie The Possession. Have your cross, Bible, holy water, and exorcism prayer in order to exorcise the demon. Kevin Bacon's wife Kyra Sedgwick plays the young girl's mother. Finally, the movie gods have listened to release a potentially great exorcism movie.

Exorcism Movies 2012

2012 is the year of exorcism movies. The Devil Inside opened up the first weekend in 2012 with $34.5 million in ticket sales. The Last Exorcism 2 is in post-production, so we can expect a release date in 2012 or 2013. The Possession is on tap to be released in movie theaters August 31, 2012. Exorcism movies are making another comeback.

We no longer have to wait every few years to watch a good exorcist movie. The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Last Exorcism, The Rite, and The Devil Inside are the only mainstream exorcism movies to reach theaters in the previous seven years. Exorcism movies are popular among horror movies fans, but the best exorcist movies were made in the 70s. 

When you think about it, there are not too many exorcism movies. We prepared a list of the top 10 highest grossing exorcism movies in box office history. Beyond the top 10 exorcism movies, the rest are sub-par productions which went straight to video and or DVD. If you are a screenwriter, definitely enter the exorcism sub-genre space to get your screenplay optioned.  

The Devil Inside, The Possession, and maybe The Last Exorcism 2 will take possession of the 2012 exorcism movies list. In the next few years, Exorcism Diaries and The Exorcism Diaries are scheduled to be released. We're glad to see two unique movie titles! There shouldn't be any confusion in the two movie productions.

Exorcism Movies 2012

Exorcism movies are popular among horror movie fans. The idea that an invisible entity can possess a living human frightens the moviegoing public. It is not too often that good exorcism movies are released into movie theaters. We enjoy watching exorcism movies, even the B grade movies about exorcisms. A few exorcism movies are on tap to be released in 2012.

The Devil Inside movie opened on January 6, 2012 with $34.1 million in box office ticket sales. Exorcism movie fans disliked the movie ending, a poor choice that ruined the entire movie run. Up until The Devil Inside reached the ending of no return, the exorcism movie was a decent watch. The Devil Inside DVD movie release date is scheduled on May 15, 2012. 

The next exorcism movie due out in 2012 is the sequel to The Last Exorcism movie. According to IMDb, The Last Exorcism 2 is scheduled to be released in 2012. There is no exact date available yet, though the board will be updated once the studio reveals the exact movie release date. 

Beyond the two exorcism movies listed above, the next movie about exorcisms is not due out until 2013. The Exorcism Diaries is scheduled to be release sometime next year. Another exorcism movie project referred to as Exorcism Diaries is scheduled to be released in 2013. Whereas the two movies are the same, IMDb divided the two movies into two standalone movie projects. 

In the past several years, the top exorcism movies released in movie theaters are The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Last Exorcism, The Rite, and The Devil Inside. As exorcism movie fans, we must enjoy any new exorcism movies that make their way into the movie box office. Horror movie fans have a bigger selection of horror movies such as the recent The Woman in Black and Silent House already in release.  The Raven and The Cabin in the Woods are scheduled to be released in April 2012. 

The next major exorcism movie is The Last Exorcism, a movie release date that can change to a later date. In 2012, The Devil Inside is nonetheless the best exorcism movie to be released. Even though moviegoers rated the exorcism movie low, The Devil Inside opened up with $34.1 million in the box office weekend. It was a decent exorcism movie to watch.

In the meantime, enjoy watching past exorcism movies to get ready for the upcoming The Last Exorcism 2 movie.
